To provide a polymer emulsion in which polymer fine particles are not aggregated in an aqueous solvent and uniformly dispersed in a monodisperse state while keeping desired particle diameter and physical properties which polymer fine particles have originally are sufficiently developed and to provide a method for producing the polymer emulsion.
The method for producing the polymer emulsion comprises obtaining an emulsion in which fine particles of the polymer is mono-dispersed in an aqueous solvent by polymerizing fine particles of a monomer mono-dispersed by agitating without substantially using a dispersion stabilizer in the aqueous solvent while monodisperse state by agitating is obtained. The polymer emulsion disperses fine particles of the polymer in a monodisperse state in the aqueous solvent and substantially does not contain the disperse stabilizer.
