Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a polymer which can obtain a polymer that has a small content of a volatile component containing a solvent and is sufficiently reduced in odor.SOLUTION: A polymer is produced by a method including a first step of treating a mixed liquid containing a polymer and a solvent using a thin film evaporator at a temperature of 80-130°C and a pressure of 40-100 Torr, reducing an amount of a volatile component in the mixed liquid, and thereby obtaining a first concentrated liquid containing the polymer, and a second step of treating the first concentrated liquid using a thin film evaporator or a flash evaporator at a temperature of 80-130°C and a pressure lower than the pressure at the time of distillation in the first step, reducing an amount of the volatile component in the first concentrated liquid, and thereby obtaining a second concentrated liquid containing a polymer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
