Abstract:
To provide a method for producing polypropylene which has high catalyst activity, and reduces atactic polypropylene and increases a high molecular weight component.SOLUTION: A method for producing polypropylene includes a step of polymerizing propylene in the presence of a catalyst for propylene polymerization which contains a solid catalyst component (A) obtained by subjecting a solid component (A1) containing Ti, Mg and chlorine, a vinylsilane compound (A2) and at least one compound (A3) selected from an organic silicon compound having an alkoxy group and a compound having two ether bonds to contact treatment, an organic aluminum compound (B) and component (C): RRSi(OR), in which a molar ratio of the component (B) to the component (C) is 5 to 50. In formula, Rrepresents a linear hydrocarbon group having a secondary carbon atom; Rrepresents an aliphatic hydrocarbon group or a hetero atom-containing hydrocarbon group that is the same as or different from R; and Rrepresents a hydrocarbon group.SELECTED DRAWING: None
