Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a porous structure by which a porous structure having a desired pore diameter distribution can be obtained irrespective of composition of raw materials.
The method for producing a porous structure includes: a step of preparing a wet gel by gelatinizing a raw material composition comprising a solvent and a silica source dispersed in the solvent; a step of forming a dry gel having a controlled water content in a range of 0-60 mass% by freeze-drying the wet gel; and a step of forming a porous structure in which pores of a pore diameter corresponding to the water content are formed by heat-treating the dry gel.
