Abstract:
To provide a method of producing propylene oxide by catalytic vapor phase oxidation of propylene, which can be achieved while suppressing the cost for facility to the minimum.
The method of producing propylene oxide is performed by catalytic vapor phase oxidation of propylene. The method is characterized in that the reaction heat is removed by indirect heat exchange of a cooling medium passing through a catalyst bed in the same direction or opposite direction as that of the reaction gas.
