Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover purified pentamethylenediamine in high yield by preventing production troubles such as blocking of piping and besides by a simple production process, in production of pentamethylenediamine by thermal decomposition of pentamethylenediamine carbonate.SOLUTION: A method for producing purified pentamethylenediamine is provided that includes a thermal decomposition step of heating an aqueous solution of pentamethylenediamine thereby decomposing the carbonate into crude pentamethylenediamine and carbon dioxide, pressure in the thermal decomposition step being 0.21 MPa to 1.0 MPa. When obtaining the crude pentamethylenediamine and carbon dioxide by thermal decomposition of the aqueous solution of pentamethylenediamine carbonate, the thermal decomposition is performed under the specific pressure, thereby production troubles such as blocking of piping can be decreased and purified pentamethylenediamine can be obtained in high yield.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
