To provide a method for producing a refined cellulose fiber, which can produce the refined cellulose fiber having the same strength as rayon without producing a by-product with a high environmental load, and can improve a work environment in a producing process and workability by lowering viscosity.
The method for producing the refined cellulose fiber comprises: a step of producing a cellulose dissolved solution by mixing at least one kind of ionic liquid, at least one kind of water-soluble polymer and a cellulose raw material to dissolve cellulose; and a step of producing the cellulose fiber by adding the cellulose dissolved solution into a nonsolvent to precipitate the cellulose fiber and separating the ionic liquid and the water-soluble polymer from the cellulose fiber.
