To provide a method for producing a reinforcing fiber woven fabric, enabling simplification of weaving, reduction of equipment expenses and shortening of operation time and capable of producing a FRP composite material having excellent mechanical properties without impairing quality appearance of the woven fabric and to provide an apparatus for producing the woven fabric.
The method for producing the reinforcing fiber woven fabric comprises dividing a plurality of reinforcing fiber bundles (carbon fiber bundles 4) wound around a single bobbin, feeding the divided bundle as warp and weaving the warp and weft into the reinforcing fiber woven fabric in which at least warp is composed of reinforcing fiber bundles. In the apparatus for producing the reinforcing fiber woven fabric, a yarn obtained by dividing a plurality of reinforcing fiber bundles is fed as at least warp and a dividing guide 5 in which two or more hole parts 3 are formed is provided and each reinforcing fiber bundle (carbon fiber bundle 4) is passed one by one through each hole part 3 of the dividing guide 5.
