Abstract:
To provide a method for producing high-quality foam having excellent heat insulating properties by using a blowing agent having slight influence on the environment such as ozone depletion, etc., nonflammability and excellent expansion performances in a method for producing rigid polyurethane foam or polyisocyanurate foam.
In the method for producing the rigid polyurethane foam or polyisocyanurate foam by reacting a reaction mixture comprising (i) a polyol, (ii) a polyisocyanate compound, (iii) the blowing agent and (iv) a catalyst, a mixture of 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl methyl ether and a noncombustible hydrofluorocarbon is used as the blowing agent.
