Abstract:
To provide a method of producing a rubber composition for a tire sidewall, capable of providing a tire sidewall (vulcanized rubber) having low heat build-up properties and capable of suppressing a reduction in scorch resistance.SOLUTION: The method of producing a rubber composition for a tire sidewall includes: a step (step (i)) of treating the surface of a carbon black with a compound represented by formula (I) to obtain a surface-treated carbon black; and a step (step (ii)) of kneading the obtained surface-treated carbon black and a rubber.SELECTED DRAWING: None
