Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a ship fuel and a base for ship fuels which meet recommendation conditions of the MARPOL Convention, with respect to the equivalent sulfur content, and preferably meet conditions of Standard ISO8217.SOLUTION: A method of producing a ship fuel (47) starting from HCO produced by catalytic decomposition or a slurry-type hydrocarbon-containing fraction (10) comprises: a) a hydrogenation stage (a), (17), of producing a hydrogenated effluent; b) a step (b), (20), (24), (37), and (43), of separating the hydrogenated effluent hydrogenated in the stage (a) to obtain a gas fraction and a liquid hydrocarbon-containing fraction; and c) an optional stage (c), (46), of mixing the liquid hydrocarbon-containing fraction with a paraffin-rich hydrocarbon-containing fraction, in order to obtain the required ship fuel (47).
