Abstract:
To produce sulfosuccinic acid with good reactivity and at a low cost and to produce an alkali metal salt of sulfosuccinic acid producing sulfosuccinic acid at a low cost.
The method for producing the alkali metal salt of sulfosuccinic acid includes reacting fumaric acid and/or maleic acid as component A with an alkali metal sulfite and an alkali metal disulfite as component B.
