Abstract:
To realize a method for producing a synthetic rubber capable of improving an extrusion amount of an extrusion dryer and improving productivity of synthetic rubber.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a synthetic rubber using an extrusion dryer that heats a crumb after compression/dehydration with a twin-screw screw to evaporate residual water and extrudes it. In each screw 59, a reverse feed screw 161 and a kneading disk 162 are arranged in the intermediate section 153 between a drain port for compressing and dehydrating a barrel and a vent port for evaporating residual moisture. Screw elements having different lead angles from an upstream end side and a downstream end side are arranged in the dehydration section 152 adjacent to the upstream side of the intermediate section 153 such that a transport speed is lower than that in transport sections 151 and 154 which are before and after both sections 152 and 153. At the time of performing a compression dehydration, the transport speed in the dehydration section 152 is reduced with respect to the screw transport sections 151 and 154 before and after compression dehydration according to the difference of lead angles between the screw elements.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
