Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a thermochromic material that can produce a material homogeneously including a (meth)acrylic copolymer and a vinylidene fluoride-based copolymer and excellent in transparency even in the case when the number of carbons in an ester moiety of a (meth)acrylic acid ester is large.SOLUTION: The method for producing a thermochromic material produces a thermochromic material by polymerizing a first (meth)acrylic acid ester and a second (meth)acrylic acid ester in the presence of a specific vinylidene fluoride-based copolymer in an organic solvent. The organic solvent has a boiling point of 50 to 170°C; a first (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer is represented by formula (1) (Ris hydrogen or a methyl group; and Ris a 1-20C alkyl group); and a second (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer is represented by formula (2) (Ris hydrogen or a methyl group; Ris a 2-4C alkylene group; Ris a 1-4C alkyl group; and n is 2 to 23).SELECTED DRAWING: None
