Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing titanium oxide-based photocatalyst showing high photocatalytic activity and excellent in organic matter decomposition capacity and water decomposition capacity in a water solution in the presence of the air.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a titanium oxide-based photocatalyst comprising: a suspension step of adding titanium oxide raw material powder to a bismuth compound-containing alcohol-containing aqueous solution to prepare a suspension; a carrying-separation step where the suspension is irradiated with ultraviolet light to precipitate bismuth on the surface of titanium oxide, and separating the obtained bismuth-carried titanium oxide from the remaining liquid; and a recovery step where the bismuth-carried titanium oxide is cleaned and dried to recover bismuth-carried titanium oxide-based catalyst powder.SELECTED DRAWING: None
