The salt water treatment equipment applies a predetermined membrane separation treatment to raw water containing a salt component supplied to a separation membrane. This equipment has a normal treatment mode for mainly applying membrane separation treatment to the raw water and a sterilization treatment mode for applying the predetermined membrane separation treatment to the raw water while supplying the raw water to the separation membrane through a process for reducing salt concentration and an acidifying process.
