The production method for the laminate laminating a water-containing gel layer onto a substrate, includes a first liquid-preparing step for preparing a first liquid containing water, a basic material and a first anionic polymer having a number average molecular weight of 400,000 or more and below 2,000,000; a second liquid-preparing step for preparing a second liquid containing a polyhydric alcohol, a crosslinking agent and a second anionic polymer having a number average molecular weight of 2,000,000 or more and 8,000,000 or less without containing water substantially; a water-containing gel layer-forming liquid-preparing step for preparing a water-containing gel layer-forming liquid with a pH of 9-13 by mixing the first liquid and the second liquid; and a water-containing gel layer-forming step of forming the water-containing gel layer by coating the water-containing gel layer-forming liquid onto the substrate.
