Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon atom-containing material effective as an additive for a lubricant from the one other than graphite.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a woody carbon atom-containing material comprising: a step where wood flour produced by pulverizing a wood is immersed into a solution containing metal ions to impregnate the wood flour with the metal ions, and the wood flour is heated and carbonized so as to be a woody carbonized material; and a step where sulfuric acid and potassium permanganate are added to the woody carbonized material, reaction is caused, thereafter, a hydrogen peroxide solution is added thereto, the reaction is stopped, and oxidation and atomization are caused so as to be a woody carbon atom-containing material. Also provided is a lubricant containing the woody carbon atom-containing material produced by this method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
