Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of normally using a cartridge even if the cartridge is damaged accompanying the refill of a printing material.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for production of a refilling cartridge in which refilling of a printing material is performed after use of a cartridge. The cartridge comprises: a volume variable storage part; a detection part for optically detecting the printing material in the storage part; an outdoor air introducing port for taking an outdoor air into the storage part; a valve part for opening/closing the outdoor air introducing port in response to the negative pressure in the storage part; and a supply port for supplying the printing material in the storage part to the outside. The cartridge is configured so that the capacity of the storage part lessens and a negative pressure increases accompanying the consumption of the printing material in the storage part, and when the negative pressure reaches a prescribed level, the valve part opens the outdoor air introducing port to introduce the outdoor air in the storage part and after that, the valve part closes the outdoor air introducing port. In the production method, the storage part is refilled with the printing material so that a prescribed amount of air exists after completion of refilling of the printing material.
