Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer composition which does not discolor (does not yellow), can be efficiently produced, and is excellent in appearance, gas barrier properties, and moldability in continuous stretch thermoforming.
At least two kinds of saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer solution are mixed. The resultant mixture is subjected to coagulation- precipitation to give a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer composition having a water content of 5-60 wt.%, which is melt kneaded to reduce the water content to lower than 5 wt.%.
