To provide a method of promoting vaporization of solvent using electric field, capable of maintaining a high promotion effect of vaporization in a wide area.
The method comprises a gas replacement means which can replace, when an electric field is formed so as to contain all or a part of a vaporization surface 7 by an unequal electric field forming means for forming an unequal electric field having a field intensity of a predetermined value or more, a gas contacting the vaporization surface contained in the unequal electric field. The gas at least in the vicinity of the center of the vaporization surface is replaced by controlling one or the both of the replacing capability of the gas replacement means and the field forming capability of the unequal electric field forming means.
