PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection method for card wherein the judgement of a used or unused state of a card can be visually performed, and a card cannot be restored to a perfect state even when a used card is re-packaged using a packaging body such as a used wrapping film, and is forged and counterfeited into a state such as an unused card.
SOLUTION: In this protecting method for a card 1 for which a card 1 is enclosed in a packaging body 4, at one part of the packaging body 4, a notched part 5 is formed, and a fragile hologram seal 7 having an adhesive on the rear surface, is superposed in such a manner that the hologram seal 7 may cover the notched part 5. Then, with the adhesive 6, the rear surface of the hologram seal 7 is adhered to the front face of the card and the front face of the packaging body 4, and when the card 1 is taken out from the packaging body 4, the hologram seal 7 is broken, and is separated into the front face of the card and the front face of the packaging body.
