Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a highly useful method for protecting plants because of enabling protecting plants by effectively controlling noxious insects without impairing air-permeability in contrast to conventional pest-controlling methods using physical nets.
CONSTITUTION: This method for protecting plants from noxious insects is characterized by setting up nets bearing α-cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl 2,2,3,3- tetramethylcyclopropanecarboxylate and/or 2-methylbiphenyl-3-ylmethyl 3-(2- chloro-3,3,3-trifluoro-1-propenyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylate. This method is also a method for controlling noxious insects, and the above- mentioned net is a pest-controlling net therefor.
