Title:
METHOD FOR PURIFYING 168 KD PROTEIN FROM MYCOPLASMA PNEUMONIAE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0236193
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject high purity protein for diagnosing infectious diseases, etc., by a method in which all the cells of mycoplasma pneumoniae, after being treated with an amphoteric surfactant, are extraction-treated with a nonionic surfactant, and subjected to size exclusion chromatography.

CONSTITUTION: All the cells of mycoplasma pneumoniae is treated with an amphoteric surfactant such as 3-[(3-colamidepropyl)dimethylammonium]-1- propanesulfonate, 168 kD protein is extracted from the obtained pellets using a nonionic surfactant such as octyl-β-D-glucopyranoside (octylglucoside), and finally other impurities are removed by size exclusion chromatography to obtain the objective high purity protein.
