Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically and efficiently purify fumigation exhaust gas by using an oxide of a metal selected from the group consisting of Ti, Si, etc., as the first catalyst component and an oxide containing at least one kind of metal selected from the group consisting of V, Cu, etc., as the second catalyst component.
SOLUTION: In a fumigation method in which a closed space is filled with a chemical agent to exterminate harmful organisms, a catalyst for purifying fumigation exhaust gas contains an oxide of one king of metal or compound oxide containing two or more kinds of metals selected from the group consisting of Ti, Si, etc., as a component A and oxide of at least one kind of metal selected from the group consisting of V, Cu, W, etc., as a component B. The catalyst meets the conditions of average pore diameter of 0.01-0.070μm, total pore volume of 0.30-0.60ml/g, and comparative surface area of 50-200m2/g. Additionally, the catalyst is made to contain at least one kind of metal element selected from the group consisting of Pd, Pt, etc., and others as a component C.
