Abstract:
To provide a purification method which can achieve high purification of halogenated hydrocarbon including a 2,2-difluorobutane.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for purifying a halogenated hydrocarbon, wherein the method comprises bringing an activated carbon into contact with a crude halogenated hydrocarbon containing an impurity whose boiling point difference with the halogenated hydrocarbon is 10°C or less, and then rectifying the treated halogenated hydrocarbon; or rectifying a crude halogenated hydrocarbon containing an impurity whose boiling point difference with the halogenated hydrocarbon is 10°C or less and bringing an activated carbon into contact with the rectified halogenated hydrocarbon.SELECTED DRAWING: None
