Abstract:
Process for purifying a gaseous hydrocarbon stream containing acid gas, comprising: (a) contacting the gaseous hydrocarbon stream containing acid gas with an acid gas absorption liquid, in a wash zone, thereby producing (I) ) a hydrocarbon-rich head stream, and (II) an acid gas-rich stream of hydrocarbon-containing hydrocarbon; which is sent to the upper part of a trailing separation zone; and (b) entraining the absorbent stream rich in acid gas, containing hydrocarbon, in said trailing zone, producing (I) a hydrocarbon-rich head stream.
