Abstract:
To provide a method, in removing metals other than lithium in a lithium aqueous solution by using a strongly acidic cation exchange resin in a lithium-ion form, for efficiently regenerating the strongly acidic cation exchange resin having captured the metals other than the lithium into a lithium-ion form.SOLUTION: A method for purifying a lithium aqueous solution includes: a purification step of removing metals other than lithium in a lithium aqueous solution containing lithium and metals other than the lithium, which is a treatment target solution, by using a strongly acidic cation exchange resin in a lithium-ion form; and a regeneration step of regenerating the strongly acidic cation exchange resin having captured the metals other than the lithium into a lithium-ion form, wherein a lithium aqueous solution having a lithium concentration of 0.1 to 1.5 eq/L is used as a regeneration agent in the regeneration step.SELECTED DRAWING: None
