To provide a method for rearing poultry and livestock, capable of solving the problem of excrement in rearing of a small animal to keep the life environment, while reducing the waste through the food cycle of the poultry or the livestock, a fish and a plant as possible to note the environmental protection, and further to provide an installation for the rearing.

A net-like floor 11 is formed at the vicinity of the water surface of an aquarium 10, and the poultry or the livestock such as a fowl 21 is reared thereon. A fresh water fish 24 or the like is reared in the aquarium so that the water in the aquarium 10 may be cleaned, by using the excrement of the poultry, the livestock or the like as a feed for the fresh water fish 24. A plant such as a vegetable is cultivated by using the water cleaned in the aquarium 10, and the vegetable is used as the feed for the poultry or the like.
