PURPOSE: To enable to charge a gas lighter with gas without removing an ignitor, by punching through-holes at the bottom of a container made of synthetic resin, by charging the container with gas in the temperature below the vaporization temperature of liquefied gas, and by sealing and fusion-welding the through-holes with synthetic resin of the same quality as the container.
CONSTITUTION: Through-holes 4 are punched on the bottom wall 2a of a container 2. In a low temperature compartment 13 where the temperature is kept below the vaporization temperature of liquefied gas, the container 2 is charged with liquefied gas by a charging nozzle 12 from one through-hole 4. A filling material 5 made of synthetic resin which is as same quality as of the container 2 is inserted into the through-holes 4 as long as predetermined length, and it is cut down by a cutter 15 which is provided with a thermoelectric coil 15b. The through-holes 4 are filled with filling materials 6 of predetermined length. Then electrodes 14a are pressedly attached to the filling materials 6 and in the neighborhood of the through-holes 4, and they are fusion-welded in the position by a fusion welder 14. By this method, a gas lighter 1 can automatically be charged with gas in the stabilized state, without spoiling the performance and the outer view of a lighter at all.
