Abstract:
PURPOSE:To recognize a work highly precisely without dependent on the shape and size of the work by synthesizing the output images of cameras into an image in one prescribed coordinate system based on the mutual relation of the coordinate systems of the cameras. CONSTITUTION:Plural cameras 1 and 2 whose respective positions are fixed image-pickup the prescribed pattern 3a straddling the image-pickup ranges A and B of the cameras, and the patterns 3a in the output images of plural cameras 1 and 2 are overlapped. The mutual relation of the coordinate systems of the cameras is obtained, and the work is image-picked up by plural cameras 1 and 2. The output images of the cameras are synthesized into the image in one prescribed coordinate system based on the mutual relation of the coordinate systems of the cameras, and the image in one coordinate system is processed and whereby the work is recognized. Thus, position relation in respective parts of the work are obtained and the resolution of respective parts of the work can be improved according to the number of the cameras, whereby a slender-shaped work or the detail of the large work can be recognized highly precisely.
