Title:
METHOD FOR RECOVERING HEAT OF COKE OVEN GAS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS614793
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To utilize the potential heat of coke oven gas for drying and preheating coal, by bringing coal into contact with coke oven gas cooled by ammonia liquor and/or water to dry and preheat coal.

CONSTITUTION: Coke oven gas heated to 600W800°C is introduced through the lower part of a cooling tower 20 into the tower, and vaporized together with ammonia liquor and/or water sprayed from an inlet pipe 21 within the tower 20. At the same time, the gas is cooled to 500°C or below by a recycling soln. sprayed from the upper part of the tower 20. Coal to be introduced into a coke oven is introduced into the cooled gas and then they are introduced into a pneumatic heat recovery device 30 to dry and preheat coal. Then they are fed to a gas/solid separator 40 to separate coal. The gas is introduced into a cooling scrubber 50 to remove dust.
