Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently recover ribonucleic acid and/or deoxyribonucleic acid from a sample containing a sample containing ribonucleic acid and deoxyribonucleic acid.
SOLUTION: The method for recovering nucleic acid comprises bringing a low-temperature eluate into contact with a nucleic acid-capturing substance having captured ribonucleic acid (RNA) and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). The recovery ratio of RNA and DNA by the eluate changes with the temperature of the eluate and the low-temperature eluate has greatly larger recovery ratio of DNA than that of RNA. Consequently, DNA is efficiently recovered from the sample containing DNA and RNA.
