Abstract:
To provide a recovery method of a titanium component containing a low calcium content in the resulting recovery titanium component or titanium oxide even when using calcium hydroxide as a neutralizer, and to provide a manufacturing method of titanium oxide thereof, according to the method of recovering the titanium component or the method of manufacturing titanium oxide, from a waste solution containing a titanium compound.SOLUTION: A method of recovering a titanium component from a waste solution containing a titanium compound, comprises: a step (1) of subjecting the titanium component to hydrolysis treatment by bringing the waste solution containing the titanium component into contact with water; and a step (2) of applying primary neutralization treatment of adding calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide as a neutralizer to treating liquid of the waste solution subjected to the hydrolysis treatment so as to bring pH to 1.5 or more and 2.5 or less, and subsequently applying secondary neutralization treatment of adding calcium hydroxide or calcium oxide as a neutralizer thereof to the treating liquid subjected to the primary neutralization treatment so as to bring pH to 2.5 or more and 5.9 or less, in order to obtain titanium hydroxide.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
