Abstract:
To easily separate an oxide from an alloy in a recycling method in which R-T-B sintered magnet scrap is melted in a melting furnace.SOLUTION: A recycling method for an R-T-B sintered magnet scrap includes a scrap preparation step of preparing an R-T-B sintered magnet scrap, a melting step of obtaining a scrap alloy by cooling the molten metal obtained by melting the R-T-B based sintered magnet scrap in a melting furnace, and a separation step of placing the scrap alloy in a processing container, setting the temperature in the processing container to 20°C or more and 300°C or less and the water vapor partial pressure to 3kPa or more and 500kPa or less, and separating an oxide from the scrap alloy.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
