Abstract:

To provide a method for reducing an amount of spatial radiation which is received by a resident and the like living or acting inside the site or the building structure of a district contaminated with radiation substances.

The method is provided for covering 2 to 80% of the site which is adjacent to a building structure and whose surface is open with a non-contaminated soil not substantially contaminated with radioactive substances having a thickness of 30 to 500 cm or a non-contaminated material such as a heavy soil material, iron sand, slug, and lead glass, in which the covering may be of a structure such as a banking structure.
