Abstract:

To provide a method for securely reducing the quantity of dust even under various operating conditions by providing new means for suppressing the quantity of dust, thereby increasing the latitude of selecting a suppression means.

In the method of reducing the quantity of the dust in the main exhaust gas in the sintering process: (a) control objective value for controlling the quantity of dust in the main exhaust gas on sintering to a prescribed range is set; (b) the quantity of dust directly before the dissipation of the main exhaust gas on sintering is measured; and, at the time when the measured value exceeds the control objective value, the quantity of powder coke to be blended into a sintering raw material and/or the quantity of moisture in the sintering raw material is regulated, so that the quantity of dust is reduced to the control objective value or below.
