To provide a method for regenerating an adsorbent, by which a fluorine-containing compound can be desorbed from the adsorbent without decomposing the fluorine-containing compound.
A high-pressure fluid is brought into contact with the fluorine-containing compound-adsorbed adsorbent and a phase of the adsorbent-contacted fluid is separated from the adsorbent to obtain the adsorbent in which the adsorbed amount of the fluorine-containing compound is reduced and the phase of the fluid containing the fluorine-containing compound. In other words, the fluorine-containing compound-adsorbed adsorbent can be regenerated by desorbing the fluorine-containing compound therefrom and the fluorine-containing compound can be obtained in the fluid without decomposing the fluorine-containing compound.
