Abstract:
To provide a regeneration method for a carbonate type layered double hydroxide which can efficiently regenerate a used layered double hydroxide obtained by using a carbonate type Mg-Al-based layered double hydroxide in acidic exhaust gas treatment to a carbonate type Mg-Al-based layered double hydroxide without requiring a large-scale facility.SOLUTION: A regeneration method for a used carbonate type layered double hydroxide in which at least a part of interlayer carbonate ions of a carbonate type Mg-Al-based layered double hydroxide is exchanged with other anion brings the used carbonate type Mg-Al-based layered double hydroxide into contact with carbon dioxide-containing gas containing carbon dioxide in the presence of alkali.SELECTED DRAWING: None
