To provide the subject method and a system therefor designed to obviate the dressing operation for pig carcasses in a lying posture, perform all of the operations for dealing them in a suspended posture so as to improve the dealing efficiency and hygienic effect.

This system is made up of a conveyor 1 with such a loop structure as to have a horizontal line 1a along which slaughtered pig carcasses 2 are conveyed under suspension through their rear one leg by a suspending means 3 such as a shackle chain for the purpose of bleeding them and a slanting line 1b along which such carcasses 2 are conveyed so as to face downward for the purpose of rehanging them, and provided with a plurality of hook members 4 at appropriate intervals, and a carcass-dressing line rail 5 coming close to an intermediate portion of the slanting line 1b in a horizontal posture with a loop structure furnished with a plurality of trolley hooks 7 each having a detachable forked hook 6.
