Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently and economically remove the dioxins in waste gas discharged from an incinerator with activated carbon or active coke.

CONSTITUTION: The waste gas contg. dioxins and kept at 90-120°C is sent to a cross-flow moving-bed adsorber (a) packed with activated carbon or active coke to remove the dioxins. The used carbon or coke is heated, regenerated and recycled. Ammonia is injected into the gas before the adsorber, and the molar ratio of the ammonia to the SO2 and NOx contained in the waste gas is controlled 0.1-0.5.
