Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively remove dioxin group in polluted water such as water seeping out from a general waste final disposal site or industrial waste water.
CONSTITUTION: Water to be treated 1 is fed into a pH adjusting tank 2 to turn it neutral or of weak acidity and the water to be treated 1 is sent to a treatment tank 7, where it is subjected to an ozone treatment by feeding ozone under irradiation of ultraviolet rays. The water to be treated is circulated between the tank 2 and the tank 7, whereby, by simultaneously using ultraviolet rays and ozone, hydroxy radicals having strong oxidizing power are produced, so that dioxin group is oxidized and removed by the hydroxy radicals.
