Title:
METHOD FOR REMOVING DIOXINS IN SEWAGE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3916370
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing dioxins in sewage by which the solubility of highly chlorinated dioxins is increased, and the dioxins are removed more efficiently.
SOLUTION: A hydrophilic solvent is added to the water to be treated from a solvent feed line 7 in the middle of a sewage feed line 4 for supplying the water 3 to be treated containing highly chlorinated dioxins originating from waste to a UV and ozone reaction tower 1. The water 3 wherein the highly chlorinated dioxins are dissolved in excess of the water solubility due to the hydrophilic solvent is supplied to the reaction tower 1, the water 3 is irradiated with UV from a UV lamp 2 in the reaction tower 1, and ozone is injected into the water 3 from an ozone feed line 5 to decompose and remove the dioxins in the sewage.
