PURPOSE: To agitate raw materiel to be processed without damage thereof and to remove foreign matters therefrom easily by floatation, by a method in which water is agitated to separate the foreign matters in the raw material by floatation, and the foreign matters to which bubbles are stuck are floated to be removed.
CONSTITUTION: In the removal of foreign matters in raw material to be processed, water is stored in the container 2 of an apparatus main body 1, the circulating pump of a fountain type agitation means 6 is driven to eject water from the fountain holes 25 of a fountain tube 24 and to circulate the water, and a specified amount of a surfactant is added to the circulating water. Next, the air supply device of a foaming means 7 is operated, air is ejected from a foaming body 35 through a bubble tube 33, and the raw material is fed to the raw material feed part of a water tank 5. A mixture of the raw material, foreign matters, and bubbles is agitated uniformly to form fine bubbles on the surface of an aqueous solution. In this way, the foreign matters, which are lighter than the raw material and carried by the bubbles, are floated up to be introduced to a defoaming base part 14 as a foreign matter removing means.
