Abstract:

To efficiently remove a nitrogen oxide by removing a sulfur compound contained in a gaseous fuel prior to introducing the gaseous fuel when denitrifying an oxygen-rich exhaust gas containing the nitrogen oxide to be exhausted from combustion equipment using the gaseous fuel.

An oxygen-rich exhaust gas containing a nitrogen oxide is exhausted, if a gaseous fuel such as natural gas or LPG is burned as a fuel in combustion equipment. When removing the nitrogen oxide from the exhaust gas using a catalyst, a sulfur compound in the gaseous fuel is removed by an adsorption method using an adsorbent such as active carbon or zeolite. Thus it is possible to efficiently remove and release the nitrogen oxide into an atmosphere.
