METHOD FOR REMOVING SULFUR COMPOUND FROM BIOGAS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006037074
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide a method for simply and effectively removing sulfur compounds, especially H2S, from a biogas as much as possible.
This method for the removal of sulfur compounds from biogas during which the biogas is guided through a body 2 which is colonized with salt-tolerant microorganisms and the sulfur in the sulfur compounds is at least partially oxidized largely into elementary sulfur 5 by the micro-organisms. To increase the efficiency of the method, the body 2 is rinsed with a diluted solution 4 containing iron ions to remove the elementary sulfur 5.
