Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the speed of a TAB tape processing further higher than conventional ones, by shortening the loss times required for replacement of a TAB reel and a spacer reel.
CONSTITUTION: On the tape supply side of a TAB tape processor, a TAB tape 2 is transferred from a TAB reel 1 in a position (A) to the TAB tape take-up side opposed to this position A, and concurrently, a spacer is taken up by a spacer reel 3. Then, when the TAB reel 1 is empty, the TAB reel 1 at a position (B) is moved to the position A. The front end of a leader tape connected with the front end of the TAB tape 2 moved to the position A and the back end of a leader tape connected with the back end of the preceding TAB tape 2 are connected with each other, and thereby, the replacement of the TAB tape 2 is performed. Still, on the tape take-up side, almost the same replacement of the TAB tape 2 is performed.
