To provide a method for replacing refrigerant in which a refrigerant replacing operation in a freezing cycle with combustible refrigerant used as working refrigerant can be performed safely.
When refrigerant is to be replaced, a service valve 17 is connected to a freezing cycle after recovering the refrigerant, and a vacuum drawing in the freezing cycle and a recharging of refrigerant are carried out through the service valve 17. With such an arrangement as above, it becomes possible to perform the refrigerant replacing work safely in any times and even if malfunction occurs in a product of freezing cycle using combustible refrigerant, a repairing operation accompanied by the refrigerant replacing work at a user's home can be carried out, the repairing time can be reduced and also a repairing expenditure can be reduced.
