Title:
METHOD FOR REPLICATING HEPATITIS C VIRAL GENOME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05344889
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently replicate a hepatitis C virus(HCV) genome by the in vitro cell culture.

CONSTITUTION: This method for replicating a hepatitis C virus genome is characterized by infecting an animal cell infected with a murine retrovirus with a hepatitis C virus and culturing the cell. The animal cell used is preferably human-T cell and more preferably Molt-4 cell or HPB cell. The murine retrovirus is preferably amphotropic murine leukemic cell virus and present as a complex with a sarcoma virus in the animal cell. One of the preferred cells is Molt-4 cell containing a sarcoma virus-amphotropic murine leukemic virus complex and this is called Molt-4Ma. The Molt-4Ma cell is obtained by co-cultivating the Molt-4 cell with StL-mink cell infected with amphotropic murine leukemic virus.
