Title:
METHOD FOR RESTRAINING DRIFT OF MOLTEN METAL IN CONTINUOUS CASTING MOLD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04339553
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To quickly and accurately detect drift of molten metal in inner part of a mold apt to develop at the time of executing continuous casting while executing pouring of the molten metal into the mold by using a nozzle having plural pouring holes and to establish means, which can effectively restrain the above.

CONSTITUTION: At the time of executing the continuous casting while pouring the molten metal 3 into the water-cooled mold 1 from the sliding nozzle 2 having plural pouring holes 2a, 2b, each temp. difference between an inlet side and an outlet side for cooling water supplied into the above water-cooled mold is detected at downstream side in the molten metal flowing direction from each pouring hole, and by comparing these, an abnormal condition of molten metal flowing in the mold is detected, and based on this result, either or both of 'drawing velocity of a cast slab' and 'molten metal wt. in a tundish' are adjusted.
